Threading No Pain. Really No Pain!

I have a newfound addiction! Threading! Having my eyebrows threaded has not only taken the worry out of day to day care of my eyebrows but it has allowed for my eyebrows to become stronger and the condition is amazing. Not only is it not as tedious as plucking, but it takes less time and doesn't hurt as much as waxing!Which will never be a bad thing !

Having dark hair i need to have my eyebrows threaded at least twice a month, with a price of £5 each time threading is not only in expensive but it is definitely worth the money! Being found in most superdrug stores, shopping centres and beauty salons, threading is readily available for you to try. So this is definitely something you need to try, remember something as simple as reshaping your eyebrows can create a whole new look !

About the blogger.

So i've been away for a little while celebrating my graduation with friends and family. University has both had its amazing moment and some not so amazing moments, yet i would not be the person i have become today if i hadn't experiences the student lifestyle. 

In my little break from blogging i have realised that for the first time in several years i have no idea what i'm going to be and the path i will be taking to create and complete the goals i have set for myself and my future both in my personal life and career. 

So lets see what the future has to offer for this graduate with a love of blogging. 

Perfect summer foundation...

After struggling to find a summer foundation i was pleasantly surprised to find this little Bargain! Barry M's Matte foundation may not be the best in the market but it does have some amazing results and only cost £5.99 (in most Superdrug stores).

First the bottle is an awkward shape which makes it hard to hold like so in the market and the bottle isn't glass either so if the foundation is dropped it won't go everywhere. the pump is so easy to use and doesn't get clogged up with the foundation, so its easy to use all the time.

The foundation itself is also a matte foundation which allows for clean and clear coverage all over the face and neck. Unlike tinted moisturiser matte foundation covers imperfections rather than extenuate them and definitely covers imperfections well without showing them. Barry M's Matte foundation isn't heavy but stays on all day, allowing for no touch ups to be needed and your face to feel smooth and not cakey like heavy winter foundations.

Changing your foundation every 6 months stops skin from becoming dry and allows for the skin to have more protection within both winter and summer months, so Barry M have the new perfect summer essential.

Finally, my hair saviour !

After dip dying my hair i have found the ends have become very dry and brittle. So when i saw the new hair mask from Garnier, Ultimate Blend collection in one of my favorite scents Argon Oil and cranberry.

Applying the treatment for a minute after the your regular shampoo and conditioner, allows for the the treatment to work to the best effect. If you have dip dyed or Ombre hair use this treatment on the ends of the hair only as it is specifically targeted for the coloured haired. It also stops the hair from looking greasy which could happen from the use of different hair products. Wash out the the hair mask after the minute and blow dry or leave to dry naturally.

Sweet as a Coconut.

Okay so i don't usually blog about home wares, but my new candle needs to be shouted about. The relaxing orchid and sweet coconut fragrance is beautiful and fills the room without giving you a headache. Its cute glass exterior can be used again after the candle has run out and is a cute little accessory to any room. the candle is currently on sale at Sainsbury's for £2.50, although i doubt it will be there for long. So hurry down to your nearest Sainsbury's now for the sweetest most relaxing fragrance.

Papaya Passion...

After finding my skin becoming a little dry, i decided to give The Body Shop's Body Butter another try. After previously deciding not to use the product as some of the scents gave me a headache. Choosing Papaya Body butter has definitely changed my mind on the product. The fresh scent is perfect for summer and leaves my skin feeling soft and smooth. Currently Body Butter is on sale for the bargain price of £5! Normally being priced, £13 its definately a sale worth visiting.

 Perfect for use after shaving ! I also invested in a small pot of strawberry Body Butter, because of the lovely smell. Small post such as this is such as Strawberry is £5 in itself! So hurry this is definitely time to bulk buy!!!

Summer Holiday Preparations, You Need to Know...

After finishing uni me and the girls decided it was time to get some sun in our live, after all we deserved it by surviving dissertation! So of course holiday beauty preparations needed to be conducted!

Exfoliate
To make sure an even tan is achieved (both from natural and from a bottle) exfoliation is key to creating the perfect sunkissed looks. Exfoliating allows for dead skin cells to be be removed, allowing for softer skin to develop and leaving you less prone to burning (as it is only dead skin cells which burn). I highly recommend Gok Wan's shower scrub, although the product is only available in most Boots stores at Christmas. Another favorite is Superdrugs Tea Tree exfoliating scrub, the product smells so fresh and allows for a soft skin to develop after exfoliation occurs. For the price of £3.29 this scrub is an absolute bargain!

Moisturising

Moisturising is essential after exfoliation, as it allows for some damaged skin cells (this may occur after scrubbing too hard on one particular area.  One of my favorites is Nivea's pure and natural body milk, the moisturiser comes in several different variations, my favorite is the Bio Argan oil and Jojoba oil, which allows for a fresh scent to be created an skin to be left feeling fresh. Another cheap product which only cost £3.59 and is available at most Superdrug stores.


Shaving
Even one knows looking like king kongs little sister is Into a good look on any beach... EVER! So shaving is a must for anyone (yes even if your not going away) one of my favorite razors to use is Venus and Olay's sugarberry razor, being on sale within Superdrug with the amazing price of £5.48 (in most other stores it would usually cost £10.99). The pivoting head allows for all hairs to be shaven evenly, the Olay moisturiser placed around the blade keeps skin soft, almost acting like a balm to protect skin. In all honesty this is one of the best products i have ever used!

Nails
Before going on holiday i was determined to find some nail wraps, with some beautiful pattern which would make me feel like a golden goddess even if it was raining. Finding Revlons, Python nail wrap  in gold and brown was did just that. Taking JUST 10 minutes to apply (with a break cause constant filing of the wraps hurt my hand!), by cutting the nail wrap close to the nail allows for less time to for filling due to the lack of excess. The pattern was beautiful and would suit any formal occasion, however a combination of the sea, sun and swimming made the nail wraps peel of within three days of application. Saying this i would recommend sticking to nail varnish so the pattern and colour would last the duration of the holiday.

All these little tips have helped me to feel slightly more comfortable when showing skin abroad. And i hope they do the same for you.

The Vikki Lippy...

Having struck upon a beautiful shade of lippy from Rimmel, the moisture renew lipstick in As you like Victoria is a perfect summer shade. Suiting a tan complexion it is perfect for holidays, however, it looks just as amazing on those with pale skin tones too. Being priced at an affordable £6.49 at most high street Superdrug stores.

Having been a fan of this lipstick throughout my holiday, I found that it didn't dry my lips like other 'moisture renewing' lipsticks. The colour was perfect for a casual holiday style, the colour boarders on floressent creating a  tan completion. One of the only downsides to using this lippy was I had to reapply the product several times to keep the colour bold and allowing for smudging to be minimized. If I did not reapply the product the would smudge, however this could be due to the climate and humidity the initial application was conducted in.

Overall, I
love this product as it allows for a bold lip to transform any look this summer.

Thank goodness for Gok !

So after recently jetting of on my holiday with the girls i have never been happier to find this little gem in my cosmetic basket.  Gok Wan's shower scrub is amazing! The small beads allow for dread skin to disapear allowing for a smoother tan and create a golden glow. Having been given the product within a gift set for Christmas i haven't had the time to use it due to the miserable British weather.

Tips and tricks.

The product needs to be applied to clean skin, so prior to use, use your normal shower gel or soap prior to exfoliating.

Make sure the area which is to be exfoliated is free of deodorant or other antiperspirants.

Apply the product in circular motions to allow for the product to work most effectively.

Don't use loads, sometime less in more. Use a small amount no more than the palm of your hand.

This is definitely now my new summer essential, roll on Christmas so i can bulk buy. I will see you at the counter...

Frozen...

After officially falling in love with Frozen (Yes i know all the words to Let it go) and buying some bargains at Westfields Model's own bottle bar. At 6 bottles for £20 couldn't say no!

 One of my favorite purchase's was the scented Blueberry, other than the scratch and sniff sticker at the top of the bottle it unfortunately doesn't really smell like a Blueberry muffin.Yet the nail varnish doesn't smell like the ordinairy nail varnish either, it doesn't have the pungent smell which comes with unscented nail varnish. 

Combining two coats of the this polish with Model's own Indian Ocean creates a shimmering Frozen inspired base colour which is perfect for both winter and summer. 

If your like myself and don't have the patience for home nail art creating a simple yet dynamic base colour  can change a basic colour into something unique and playful.  

Puppies, Puppies and Pretty Little Liars.

So i have now officially finished University and have been spending my time looking for french bulldog puppies and of course catching up on Pretty Little Liars! Just wanted to pop up a cute little find I've found which is making me want to get a little pup myself!

Would it be to much to ask for one for graduation in July ? 

Benifit goodies.

So for a while I've been questioning the quality of Benefit, surely paying more than what i pay for most food shops  for a few products was a little excessive? So a friend of mine bought me a gift set of Benefit products to try and convert me to a Benebabe. And i have to say it worked.

After initially trying the 'Do the bright thing' gift pack which is specifically designed to aid the creation of a flawless face seen on celebs and models alike, i have to say the pack didn't decipoint. Unlike most highlighters and concealers Benefit's High Beam Highlighter creates a flawless look especially for those eye bags. Combining High Beam with Benefit's  They're Real mascara creates a  natural look which will definitely turn a few heads. One thing which proved evident with all the products in the gift set was how light all Benefit's products are, after years of using heavy concealers and mascaras which basically did nothing but look cloggy and give me dry skin! I can honestly say  I am converted.

Having a signature cat flick eye Benefits waterproof eyeliner not only displayed high levels of durability but needed only a slight touch up (after a major spout of hay fever... urgh summer).  I also created a subtle day look with the waterproof eyeliner on my lash line, it stayed all day with minimal smudging (hay fever to blame for that one too). Basically hay fever or not this eyeliner is worth its weight in gold!

The "It girl" face primer is amazing, not only does it aid the cover up of blemishes , spot and other nasties, it smells so fresh ! Using the primer created a clear base which aided the application of foundation.And the final but no way least product within the gift set is the Dandelion brightening face powder,the final touch in the fight against dull skin. Creating  a clear and refreshing complexions
, for all skin types.

Hello Avon !

So I've found a new love for Avon's black liquid eyeliner. With a the reasonable price i was initially sceptical of the quality of the product, i have to say i was ecstatic to be proven wrong. Having tested the product out on a windy and wet day (of course i live in Britain) with my signature cat eye look, the eyeliner didn't run or fade. My cat eye stayed all day without any need for a top up.

Although the eyeliner was initially hard to use due the shape of the packaging. However, it did get easier the more i used the product. Even with the strange shaping of the packaging,

i would highly recommend this to friends and family.

Bye Bye Uni Life !

Well its official uni is coming to an end ! My dissertation is finished and in for binding, although, i still have plenty more assignments to get through. So if you're feeling a little lost like me hes a little message I've just found on misguided to cheer you up a little.

I know i haven't blogged in a while, i have no excuse other than the sheer amount of work i've have to complete within my third year of university.

I've been in love with these shoes since i first laid eyes on them. Nicholas Kirkwood's Alice in wonderland shoes have to be the more uniques and fitting to the wonderful story. Holding every bit of character they could possible have, from the queen of hearts to the mad hatters tea party, these shoes may be an oldie. But they are definately a goodie!

Easy Peasy Ombre ...

I wanted to Ombre my hair since last summer but i never had the guts to do it at home. So after seeing L'Oreal Ombre kits were on sale i decided to take the plunge.

Using wild Ombre for dark hair, the kit was so easy to use and the directions understandable. After popping the dye onto the brush I applied the dye for 25 minutes (you can put it on for longer but only up to 40 mins)and to my surprise it worked ! The conditioner which comes with the pack smells amazing ! Although it did leave my hair dry a few shampoo's it was super soft.
